Hellow blog! i will now write on you.. tonight i will talk about my first week in art appreciation class.
the first time i set foot on our classroom well the first feeling i had was i got shocked with the way our prof looked like, well its not because of what she's wearing or anything else but she was kinda young, i dont think its such a shocking thing but maybe because i was expecting an old man or woman to be our prof for a subject like this. well our prof. is cool cause she's young and i think she could relate well with students our age because the generation gap is not that far anyway. so i think she teaches well i mean i loved the way she would show us puzzles or brain benders or whatever you call them. i think the purpose of this is that the subject is very early and with those things i think she wants to wake up our minds or get it ready for the learnings ahead. we also had this first presentation where we would bring an artwork and why it was art for us. some brought drawings of themselves or pictures made by their friends for them some brought small scale sculptures as example. i many kinds of art was brought from photo mosaics to photographs even our professors face and a simple sheet of yellow pad was brought in as art.
for the past week we've been trying to come up with what art really means or the very definition of art. but i dont think we got the definition of what art really is but we've been learning what makes art art or what characteristics art should poses for it to be art and things like that. and for our last meeting our prof. showed us a comic strip, at first i thought it was just a simple comic strip but then after awhile she showed us lots of ways in telling a story she even showed us the book. i had fun looking at how many ways one can tell a story it was soo good. ok now im actualy looking forward to my next artapre class, it isnt soo bad after all actualy i was having fun.
